The 2026 World Youth Drummer Competition concluded on [2026.09.30] globally. This influential event drew percussion and drumming enthusiasts worldwide for a fierce contest of performing techniques and artistic expression.

During judging, a professional panel—including music professors, professional drummers and performers, experts in percussion performance theory, rhythmic emotional interpretation and traditional and modern percussion art, and senior music educators from renowned universities—upheld strict, fair and transparent principles to meticulously review numerous competition performances, demo recordings and creative statements. The judges focused on the accuracy of basic percussion skills (tempo control, rhythmic layout, dynamic grading and musical conception mastery), precision of artistic expression and thematic interpretation of drum performances, as well as candidates' innovative musical thinking (diversified performing perspectives, personalized playing styles), ability to convey positive values through musical performance (e.g., inheriting classic percussion traditions, innovating contemporary drum performance and showcasing youthful vitality), and in-depth understanding of drumming techniques and musical aesthetics.
