Scoring Criteria

  • Knowledge Accuracy and Logical Coherence: Accurately apply core global history knowledge (world civilizations, political and cultural history, economic development, comparative history) in this online competition. Keep strict logical rigor across all steps — from historical source analysis and key fact extraction to causal inference and conclusion — with no factual errors or logical gaps. For analysis and essay tasks, grasp core concepts like historical contextualization and evidence-based deduction, and follow systematic historical thinking.

  • Method Application and Skill Demonstration: Use targeted historical skills (timeline sorting, source verification, cross-period comparative analysis) for this online exam. Analyze historical documents via critical reasoning, and integrate interdisciplinary thinking (sociology, geography, political science) for complex topics. Show solid historical literacy by applying theories and evidence accurately, completing tasks efficiently, with difficulty matching the contest’s preliminary, semi-final and final rounds.

  • Follow the 2026 World Youth Global History Competition’s online submission standards: Present analyses and answers with precise historical terms and formal academic writing. Keep language concise, professional and clear. For objective questions, submit answers directly; for subjective tasks, structure responses with source evidence, reasoning and conclusions, and label core bases to facilitate online grading.

  • In-depth Understanding and Expansion Innovation: Go beyond basic factual recall to explore hidden causes, historical patterns and modern reflections behind competition materials. Connect historical concepts to real life (e.g., historical lessons for global governance, heritage analysis for cross-cultural dialogue), and propose integrating archival research into youth history education to showcase flexible knowledge application.
