Competition Rules

​1、Originality: All entries must be completed independently by the participant. No submissions of others' works are allowed. Participants may use their own previous competition works.
 

2、Content Restrictions: All entries must not contain obscene, violent, sexual, defamatory, inappropriate, or controversial content. Violation of this rule will result in disqualification without prior notice.
 

3、Personal Data Use: Personal information provided by participants will only be used for competition contact purposes and to distribute competition notifications.
 

​4、Accuracy of Information: Participants must ensure that their personal information is accurate. The organizers will not be responsible for any errors.
 

5、Acceptance of Terms: By submitting their entries, participants agree to all competition terms and conditions. The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant believed to have violated any competition rules, and there will be no appeals process.

Scoring Criteria

• Easter Theme Comprehension and Execution Precision
  In the Easter Painting Competition, participants must demonstrate a clear and accurate understanding of the Easter theme. Whether it’s in designing the composition, choosing colors, or depicting Easter - related elements like Easter bunnies, eggs, and lilies, they should capture the essence of Easter. There should be no misinterpretations or misapplications of the Easter theme. All elements in the painting must be in harmony with the Easter spirit, much like hitting the right notes in a well - played Easter carol.
   

• Skill Application in Painting
  Contestants should skillfully apply various painting techniques. For instance, they can masterfully use brushstrokes to create different textures, blend colors smoothly to achieve a soft and vivid look, and use shading techniques to add depth. They can also show proficiency in using different painting media, such as watercolors, acrylics, or pastels. Similar to a musician demonstrating different playing styles on an instrument, painters should display a diverse range of skills, making their paintings visually appealing, harmonious, and full of character.
   

• Presentation Style of the Entries
  When presenting their paintings (either in person or through a video submission), contestants should exude confidence. Their body language should be appropriate. They should stand or sit upright, use natural hand gestures to highlight key elements of their paintings, and maintain good eye contact with the judges and the audience. Their facial expressions should match the mood of the Easter - themed painting, like showing excitement when presenting a vibrant Easter scene or a serene look when the painting has a more peaceful Easter theme. This creates a positive and engaging atmosphere for sharing their artistic vision.
   

• Depth of Easter - Inspired Emotion
  Participants need to convey a deep - seated connection to the Easter celebration. They should infuse their paintings and presentations with emotions associated with Easter, such as joy, hope, and renewal. Through detailed descriptions of the painting’s elements, the use of colors, and the overall composition, they can vividly express the significance of Easter. They can vary their tone during the presentation, using an enthusiastic voice to talk about the festive elements and a more reflective tone when emphasizing the spiritual aspects of Easter. This emotional depth makes their entries resonate with the audience and judges, much like a moving musical performance that stirs the soul during Easter services.
