Competition Content

  • In terms of creation and tools, participants can use various coloring styles (flat coloring, gradient blending, etc.) and focus on Christmas themes (Santa Claus, sleighs, snow scenes). Small original details (e.g., patterns on Santa’s clothes) are allowed.

  • The contest provides a single, unified Christmas coloring sheet. Participants must download and print it from the designated channel. Coloring tools are optional: traditional (colored pencils, markers, etc.) or digital (Photoshop/Procreate, based on the official sheet). Solo, family, or small-group creation is encouraged to showcase personal creativity.

  • Participants must submit works as high-quality images (JPG/PNG/TIFF), max [50] MB. Images need to be clear with true color, fully showing the entire coloring sheet—capturing color matching, neat lines, and theme atmosphere (e.g., warm tones for festivity).

  • For traditional coloring: Avoid reflections/tilting; no stains, even colors. For digital coloring: Min. 300 dpi (RGB/CMYK), keep the sheet’s original framework. Highlight unique techniques (gradient transitions, fine coloring) if used.

  • Submit with participant info (name, age group). Ensure originality—no unauthorized sheet edits or plagiarism.

Competition Rules

1、Originality: All entries must be completed independently by the participant. No submissions of others' works are allowed. Participants may use their own previous competition works.

2、Content Restrictions: All entries must not contain obscene, violent, sexual, defamatory, inappropriate, or controversial content. Violation of this rule will result in disqualification without prior notice.

3、Personal Data Use: Personal information provided by participants will only be used for competition contact purposes and to distribute competition notifications.

4、Accuracy of Information: Participants must ensure that their personal information is accurate. The organizers will not be responsible for any errors.

5、Acceptance of Terms: By submitting their entries, participants agree to all competition terms and conditions. The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant believed to have violated any competition rules, and there will be no appeals process.

Scoring Criteria

  • Coloring Composition & Structure: The overall coloring composition is logically arranged. Whether focusing on key Christmas elements (Santa Claus, sleighs, snow scenes) or adding small original details, the layout of each colored area is appropriate. The proportions of color distribution, detail rendering, and the balance between main subjects and background (if added) are well-managed, with no obvious imbalance. The color progression follows a coherent order, and transitions between different sections (such as from Santa’s attire to surrounding snow, or from decorative elements to the main scene) are natural, smooth, and tightly connected.

  • Color Tone & Atmosphere Expression: The color tones match the Christmas theme harmoniously, and the overall visual effect is rich in layers. Based on the intended mood (festive, warm, peaceful), appropriate color techniques are used. For example, emotional shifts are conveyed through color gradations (such as soft transitions from red to pink, subtle changes in hue depth), and key elements are emphasized through tone contrasts (like bright reds against white snow, warm golds versus cool blues). The transition of tones between different parts of the coloring sheet is natural, enhancing the overall visual experience.

  • Mastery of Coloring Techniques: The coloring work is neat and expressive. Participants demonstrate mastery of various coloring techniques, including color control (even application, no overflow beyond lines, consistent hue), use of special skills (gradient blending, fine detail coloring, texture creation), and coordination of color matching. These techniques are applied skillfully, reflecting a solid grasp of coloring abilities. Whether handling small decorative patterns, large area filling, or color contrast combinations, participants maintain excellent precision and control.

  • Artistic Appeal & Emotional Resonance: Participants show a deep understanding of the Christmas theme, integrating their own creativity and emotional interpretation into the work. The coloring is engaging and vivid, capable of evoking strong emotional resonance—whether the festive cheer from bright reds and golds, the warmth of soft pastels, or the tranquility of cool winter tones. Their attention to detail (neat lines, thoughtful color choices) and expression of the Christmas spirit are key considerations. The work leaves a lasting impression, effectively conveying the intended artistic concept and emotional core of the Christmas theme through skilled coloring and sincere creativity.
