Competition Content

  • In terms of creation forms and tools, participants can adopt a wide range of design styles and techniques, including but not limited to graphic design (posters, illustrations), creative handcraft design (handmade toys, decorative items), environmental design (miniature room layouts, small garden designs), and original digital designs. They may use traditional design tools (such as colored pencils, watercolor paints, scissors, glue, and sketch paper) for their creations, or choose advanced design tools like digital drawing software (Procreate, Photoshop), 3D modeling software (Tinkercad), and design apps to enhance their design expressions. Whether it is a solo work, a two-person collaborative design, a small team creation, or a design combined with physical materials (e.g., recycled materials, clay, fabric), participants are encouraged to create works in any form, so as to give full play to their personal design strengths and creative ideas.

  • Participants are required to submit their works in the form of high-quality image or video files. The images must ensure clear and high-resolution visuals, accurately capturing the details of the work’s design structure, color matching, material texture (for handcrafts), and creative connotation. If submitting a video (for dynamic designs or design process displays), it should clearly present the complete design work or creation process, including the work’s overall appearance, local details, functional demonstrations (if applicable), and the designer’s explanation of the design concept (optional). If the work includes special design techniques, such as hand-painted detail rendering, digital layer superimposition, 3D structure assembly, or material recycling application, it is recommended to fully showcase these aspects. The image formats are limited to JPG and PNG, and the video formats are limited to MP4 and MOV, with the file size not exceeding [200] MB (the size limit can be set appropriately according to actual conditions).

Competition Rules

1、Originality: All entries must be completed independently by the participant. No submissions of others' works are allowed. Participants may use their own previous competition works.

2、Content Restrictions: All entries must not contain obscene, violent, sexual, defamatory, inappropriate, or controversial content. Violation of this rule will result in disqualification without prior notice.

3、Personal Data Use: Personal information provided by participants will only be used for competition contact purposes and to distribute competition notifications.

4、Accuracy of Information: Participants must ensure that their personal information is accurate. The organizers will not be responsible for any errors.

5、Acceptance of Terms: By submitting their entries, participants agree to all competition terms and conditions. The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant believed to have violated any competition rules, and there will be no appeals process.

Scoring Criteria

  • Design Structure and Layout: The overall design structure is reasonable. Whether it is a graphic design (posters, illustrations), creative handcraft, environmental design, or digital design, the arrangement of each element (patterns, colors, text, materials) is appropriate. The proportions of core design parts, auxiliary decorations, and negative space are accurate, with no obvious issues of layout imbalance. The visual progression of the design follows a logical order, and the transitions between different sections (such as from the main theme area to the detail decoration area in posters, or from the functional part to the decorative part in handcrafts) are natural, smooth, and tightly connected.

  • Visual Expression and Color Tone: The color tone and visual style of the design are harmonious, and the overall visual effect is rich in layers. Based on the design theme and creative connotation (e.g., lively for children’s toys, fresh for garden designs), appropriate visual techniques are employed. For example, emotional shifts are conveyed through color gradations (such as soft transitions from warm red to orange, subtle changes in color saturation) and texture variations (like the contrast between smooth digital painting and rough hand-drawn lines, or the difference between glossy and matte materials in handcrafts); key design highlights are emphasized through visual contrasts (like bright accent colors against neutral backgrounds, or complex patterns paired with simple shapes). The transition of visual elements between different sections is natural and smooth, enhancing the overall viewing experience.

  • Mastery of Design Techniques and Abilities: The design work is refined and expressive. Participants demonstrate mastery of various design techniques, including basic tool control (such as accurate line drawing with colored pencils, smooth color filling with digital software, neat material cutting for handcrafts), application of special techniques (like layered superimposition in digital design, texture creation with mixed materials, detail rendering in illustrations), and coordination of multi-element combinations (for collaborative designs or complex works). These techniques are applied skillfully and superbly, reflecting a high level of design ability. Whether handling fine pattern carving, complex color matching, precise material assembly, or digital layer management, the participants maintain excellent control and precision.

  • Creative Appeal and Emotional Resonance: The participants have a profound understanding of the design theme and can fully integrate their own creativity and emotional interpretation into the work. The design is engaging and expressive, capable of evoking strong emotional resonance from the audience—whether it is the vitality and fun in children’s toy designs, the warmth and comfort in room layout designs, or the environmental care reflected in recycled material works. Their grasp of the design concept (such as the connection between the theme and visual expression, the rationality of functional design) and the presentation of personal style are also important considerations. The work leaves a deep and lasting impression, effectively conveying the creative concepts and emotional core that the design intends to express through skilled techniques and sincere creativity.
