2025 World Children and Youth Guitar Competition

The 2025 World Children and Youth Guitar Competition drew to a successful close on [2025.12.12], evolving into a globally recognized stage where young guitar talents can showcase their brilliance. This distinguished event brought together passionate guitarists from across the globe, challenging them to demonstrate their playing skills, musical arrangement creativity, and cross-cultural expression charm in a high-stakes guitar contest.

Jury Conducts Rigorous and Transparent Evaluation

The professional jury, consisting of renowned guitarists, music professors, and industry experts, adhered to the principles of rigor, fairness, and transparency throughout multiple evaluation rounds. Judges assessed the entries based on two core dimensions: playing skills (including intonation, rhythm, technique mastery, and emotional delivery) and creative presentation (such as thematic depth, arrangement innovation, and cross-cultural relevance).

  • Playing Skills: Evaluations focused on the contestants' command of complex guitar techniques, such as stable performance in high-difficulty fretboard passages, precise control of rhythm changes, and the ability to enhance musical appeal through the integration of playing techniques and emotion.

  • Creative Presentation: Standout entries included reinterpreting classic campus melodies (e.g., adapting classic campus hits with fingerstyle guitar arrangements) or original campus-themed works (e.g., pieces exploring youth growth, campus friendship, or youth social responsibility).

  • Cross-Cultural Relevance: Works that combined African traditional musical scales with guitar pop arrangements, or integrated Asian classical melodies into modern campus guitar creation, showcased exceptional cross-cultural musical integration vision.

Awardees Announced: Celebrating Global Guitar Excellence

Notification emails and SMS are currently being sent to the awardees. Congratulations to all winners for distinguishing themselves in this intense competition through their exquisite guitar skills, innovative musical arrangement ideas, and unwavering dedication to guitar playing.

  • Outstanding Works Highlights

    • A contestant reinterpreted classic campus folk melodies with modern and diverse guitar arrangements, retaining the original sentiment while incorporating contemporary playing styles, balancing nostalgia and freshness.

    • A guitar duo combined traditional Chinese folk music scales with pop guitar R&B elements, creating a touching piece exploring the collision between traditional culture and youth trends.

    • A contestant integrated European classical music harmony frameworks with personal campus life experiences, using their guitar to profoundly interpret the thoughts and responsibilities of the younger generation in growth.

"The works you have created—whether through impeccable guitar performance, bold arrangement innovation, or cross-cultural emotional resonance—embody the innovative spirit and musical diversity of young guitarists today," stated the jury president in the official commendation.

Inspiring Continued Guitar Exploration

Awardees are encouraged to view this achievement as a launching pad for further musical growth, pushing the boundaries of creative expression and deepening cross-cultural guitar exchanges. The competition also invites more young guitarists to participate in future editions, using their musical creativity to connect cultures and move audiences around the world.

As the 2025 World Children and Youth Guitar Competition concludes, its legacy endures: to nurture a new generation of guitarists who can transcend musical genres while honoring their cultural roots. The organizing committee looks forward to witnessing how these young guitar talents will shape the future of global musical communication with their unique perspectives and highly infectious works.
