Submission Specifications for Participants

  • Participants may create diverse styles of coloring works centered on the Mid-Autumn Festival theme, including flat color filling, gradient coloring, detailed decorative coloring, texture rendering, and original themed creative coloring. Entries are acceptable as individual creations or group collaborative works. All contestants must use the official exclusive coloring papers provided by the organizing association for creation. Contestants can apply standard visual composition, professional color matching schemes and diverse artistic expression techniques to demonstrate their personal artistic features and unique creative concepts.

  • All works should demonstrate solid artistic foundation and coloring accomplishment, including smooth color blending, reasonable tonal layout, profound thematic conception, coherent visual logic and distinct aesthetic expression. Traditional Mid-Autumn Festival-style coloring works should adhere to orthodox aesthetic norms and traditional cultural connotations, while original creative coloring pieces are encouraged to integrate contemporary perspectives and modern artistic ideas. Participants may create works with unrestricted creative styles and expressive techniques, as long as the entries conform to positive cultural orientation and aesthetic values of the competition. Standard template creation formats on official coloring papers are allowed, and basic artistic polishing and auxiliary modification methods are permitted to optimize the visual presentation of coloring works.

  • Participants must submit complete and standard final versions of their coloring works with intact content, clear visual context and full artistic expression finished on the official designated coloring papers. A short attachment including the participant’s name, age and brief creative introduction is required for entry. All submitted works must be presented in standard complete formats with accurate color presentation and neat layout for professional official judging.

  • Works may be submitted via website upload, WhatsApp, or Email (only one method required), and must be named in accordance with competition rules.

Scoring Criteria

  • Creative Concept & Composition Structure: Present a well-organized visual layout with balanced spacing, proper picture density and a clear Mid-Autumn Festival theme. Key motifs, visual layers and blank segments follow classical traditional aesthetic composition rules. All picture transitions look natural and follow core coloring standards: color rhythm, tonal changes, virtual-real balance and orderly arrangement. Young creators may add mild innovation while respecting traditional aesthetic norms. All elements focus on the main artistic mood, ensuring complete visual harmony and strong traditional cultural features.

  • Visual Language & Artistic Style: Arrange color saturation, tonal tone and picture texture to fit common festival coloring styles, including landscape depiction, floral and traditional ornament presentation, and lyrical festive expression, for both solo and group entries. Express soft artistic feelings through natural color variations and balanced picture layout. Keep a unified traditional festival coloring style across the whole work with consistent artistic charm in group collaborative pieces.

  • Coloring Technique & Technical Control: Show solid artistic fundamentals, including correct picture proportion, steady color filling, clear structural hierarchy, fine details and proper visual layering. Maintain stable color control and reasonable use of picture space. Group works must keep unified tonal rhythm and neat arrangement. Combine standard traditional coloring skills with personal creativity to raise overall artistic quality.

  • Artistic Appeal & Emotional Expression: Blend personal aesthetic taste, cultural understanding and coloring skills into the creation. Touch judges with elegant visual charm, sincere emotion and fresh youth perspectives. Show unique oriental artistic awareness, create a deep impression, and deliver positive traditional cultural values and rich festive artistic mood.
