2025 World Children and Youth Design Competition

The 2025 World Children and Youth Design Competition drew to a successful close on [2025.12.26], evolving into a globally recognized stage where young design talents can showcase their brilliance. This distinguished event brought together passionate young designers from across the globe, challenging them to demonstrate their design skills, innovative thinking, and cross-cultural expression charm in a high-stakes design contest.

Jury Conducts Rigorous and Transparent Evaluation

The professional jury, consisting of renowned designers, design professors, and industry experts, adhered to the principles of rigor, fairness, and transparency throughout multiple evaluation rounds. Judges assessed the entries based on two core dimensions: design skills (including design logic, aesthetic coordination, functional practicability, and emotional delivery) and creative presentation (such as thematic depth, stylistic innovation, and cross-cultural relevance).

  • Design Skills: Evaluations focused on the contestants' command of complex design techniques, such as stable application of human-centered design principles in product planning, precise control of visual and functional balance in design drafts, and the ability to enhance design appeal through the integration of aesthetic form and practical value.

  • Creative Presentation: Standout entries included reinterpreting classic daily necessities with modern design concepts (e.g., adapting traditional desk lamps with smart energy-saving design elements) or original design works (e.g., designs exploring eco-friendly living, smart campus life, or inclusive products for disadvantaged groups).

  • Cross-Cultural Relevance: Works that combined African traditional pattern aesthetics with modern industrial design, or integrated Asian minimalist design concepts into European-style furniture creation, showcased exceptional cross-cultural design integration vision.

Awardees Announced: Celebrating Global Design Excellence

Notification emails and SMS are currently being sent to the awardees. Congratulations to all winners for distinguishing themselves in this intense competition through their exquisite design skills, innovative creative ideas, and unwavering dedication to design art.

  • Outstanding Works Highlights

    • A contestant reinterpreted classic folk craft products with modern and diverse design arrangements, retaining the original cultural sentiment while incorporating contemporary functional designs, balancing nostalgia and freshness.

    • A young design team combined traditional Chinese architectural element aesthetics with modern interior space design, creating a touching work exploring the collision between traditional cultural heritage and modern lifestyle needs.

    • A contestant integrated European sustainable design frameworks with personal campus life experiences, using their design to profoundly interpret the sense of responsibility of the younger generation for environmental protection and sustainable development.

"The works you have created—whether through impeccable design execution, bold stylistic innovation, or cross-cultural emotional resonance—embody the innovative spirit and design diversity of young designers today," stated the jury president in the official commendation.

Inspiring Continued Design Exploration

Awardees are encouraged to view this achievement as a launching pad for further design growth, pushing the boundaries of creative expression and deepening cross-cultural design exchanges. The competition also invites more young designers to participate in future editions, using their design creativity to connect cultures and improve the quality of life for people around the world.

As the 2025 World Children and Youth Design Competition concludes, its legacy endures: to nurture a new generation of designers who can transcend design categories while honoring their cultural roots. The organizing committee looks forward to witnessing how these young design talents will shape the future of global design communication with their unique perspectives and highly practical works.
