Scoring Criteria
-
Creative Concept & Composition Structure: Present a well-organized Chinese painting layout with balanced blank space, proper density and a clear theme. Key motifs, ink layers and blank areas follow classical traditional composition rules. All transitions look natural and follow core Chinese painting standards: brush rhythm, ink changes, virtual-real balance and orderly arrangement. Young creators may add mild innovation while respecting tradition. All elements focus on the main artistic mood, ensuring complete harmony and strong Chinese cultural features.
-
Visual Language & Artistic Style: Arrange brush strength, ink tone and texture to fit common Chinese painting styles, including landscape, flower-and-bird and figure painting, for both solo and group entries. Express soft artistic feelings through natural brush variations and balanced layout. Keep a unified traditional Chinese painting style across the whole work with consistent charm in group collaborative pieces.
-
Chinese Painting Technique & Technical Control: Show solid Chinese painting fundamentals, including correct proportion, steady brushwork, clear structure, fine details and proper ink-wash layering. Maintain stable brush control and reasonable use of rice paper space. Group works must keep unified rhythm and neat arrangement. Combine standard traditional skills with personal creativity to raise overall artwork quality.
-
Artistic Appeal & Emotional Expression: Blend personal aesthetic taste, cultural understanding and painting skills into the creation. Touch judges with elegant brush charm, sincere emotion and fresh youth perspectives. Show unique oriental artistic awareness, create a deep impression, and deliver positive traditional cultural values and rich Chinese painting mood.
