2025 World Children and Youth Oil Painting Competition

The 2025 World Children and Youth Oil Painting Competition drew to a successful close on [2025.11.18], evolving into an international platform for young oil painting creators worldwide to showcase their artistic talents. This highly acclaimed event brought together young painting enthusiasts from across the globe, challenging them to demonstrate their painting skills, creative concepts, and cross-cultural artistic expression in a high-stakes art contest.

Jury Conducts Rigorous and Transparent Evaluation

The professional jury, consisting of renowned oil painters, fine arts college professors, and art industry experts, adhered to the principles of rigor, fairness, and transparency throughout multiple evaluation rounds. Judges assessed the entries based on two core dimensions: painting techniques (including color application, brushstroke expression, composition layout, and light and shadow processing) and creative connotation (such as thematic depth, conceptual uniqueness, and cross-cultural relevance).

  • Painting Techniques: Evaluations focused on the contestants' mastery of oil painting techniques, such as delicate presentation of color layers, flexible use of brushstroke textures, and the ability to shape the picture atmosphere through light and shadow processing.

  • Creative Connotation: Standout entries included reinterpreting classic oil painting themes (e.g., reconstructing world-famous painting scenes from a youth perspective, integrating contemporary life elements) or original themed creations (e.g., oil paintings exploring environmental protection, campus life, cultural inheritance, or expressing visions for the future world).

  • Cross-Cultural Relevance: Works that combined African grassland color aesthetics with European classical oil painting brushstrokes, or integrated Asian ink wash artistic conception into Western oil painting composition, showcased exceptional cross-cultural artistic integration vision.
